THCS/SRCF LAN party, Lent 2008: Games

There will be quite a few of us, and hence scope for multiple games in parallel, ideally of different genres to give people a choice.

A few games (mostly the ones Malcolm has voted for) will be available on a fileserver for people who have licenses but no CDs.

Add games / vote for existing games here (put your name by the games you're interested in). Bring as many CDs as you can, and make sure where possible you have installed things in advance (some of these games take half an hour to install).

Modern(ish) Games

(Order in descending order of popularity (and then alphabetically))

Classic Games (for those with limited hardware / graphics etc)

(Any chance of picking a few of the most popular "everyone plays" games, ie UT, Q3 and trying to get everyone to coordinate playing them at the same time? Rather than just spending the day in small mini-LANs? I want to frag new people dammit!)

Do we need a particular version of DC++ or anything like that? --Cesy

If anyone has any of the Age of Empires franchise, particularly The Conquerors, that would be awesome. I left mine at home --Smith

I shall probably also arrange for something approximating guitar hero to be playable on the projector at the end some of the time, maybe also some wii games --Matt

Games currently running on Zyloid can now be viewed at http://game.zyloid.com, along with current map/player information - Steve

I have no idea what I'd like to play. Anything the loan PC will run that I can run around shooting at people with would be awesome! (I like UT) -- Carrie

I can only come between 1030 and 1200, would it be possible to schedule some Quake 3 within some of that time malc? that's the only game i've played a bit and would be real happy if the timing could be arranged ! cheers, kristjan
